Integra North Open Cut Haul Road

Integra Coal open cut is located approximately 7km north of Singleton in NSW and produces 3.8 million product tonnes per annum. NMS Contractors worked closely with Integra Coal at the design review stage of the Northern Open Cut Haul Road project in order to optimize pavement and drainage details. Through employment of a Value Management process, NMS was able to offer Integra Coal an innovative construction solution, which resulted in a 50%+ reduction the cost budget, along with a substantially reduced construction period. 

Delivery of the haul road project included a range of earthworks and drainage construction requirements, including treatment on unconsolidated mine spoil through impact rolling, in-situ treatment of low-CBR clay subgrade, crushing on on-site materials and installation of large corrugated metal pipe (CMP) drainage culverts.
